The furniture is made from a great driftwood look-a-like; the branches of old Java coffee bushes. The branches are pruned from the older trees, dried and then whitewashed to create this effective finish.

Our supplier has been working directly with 3 small groups of craftspeople in the same village in the foothills of central Bali for the past 15 years and is seeing generations of the same families improve their lives with the income generated from their crafts.

By striving for excellence, the craftspeople are successfully competing against mass-produced products, thereby sustaining their livelihoods and traditional skills for future generations.
