We run our business from a beautiful small shop in Barnes, South West London, where we offer an ever-changing collection of wonderful homewares supporting the small, the unique and the inspiring.
LUMA was founded in 2006 by Alison Satasi, who was inspired to source luxurious home textiles that were also organic and ethically-made. Since then, we’ve partnered with talented, like-minded suppliers to create an ever changing collection of beautiful homewares. Our collection includes handmade accessories that sustain remote communities, relying on traditional skills, and support poverty relief projects. Closer to home, we showcase the work of small UK designer makers, exhibits local artists’ creations and continually uncover quirky, one-off and vintage finds.
Our own range of luxurious organic and fairly-traded bed linen continues to earn accolades, and is used extensively in top eco-hotels. In our first year of business, we were Vogue’s pick for ‘best organic bedding’. Very quickly, we were recommended throughout the national press. A steady stream of leading interior magazines and stylists look to our collection for the perfect pieces for their photoshoots. In 2015, you can find us in Elle Decoration’s Secret Address Book.
